Sisal Fiber FAQ for Worldwide Buyers
Straight answers for importers buying Kenyan sisal fiber: grades, prices, minimum order, packing, documents and shipping from the Port of Mombasa to any destination.
Grades & quality
Which sisal fiber grades do you export?
We export Kenyan sisal fiber in three main grades: UG (top grade, long, creamy-white and well brushed), SSUG (second grade, slightly shorter with minor colour variation) and 3L (long fibre suited to rope and twine). Each grade is confirmed in writing before booking.
What fiber length and moisture can I expect?
Fibre length ranges from 60 cm to 130 cm depending on grade. Moisture is kept low through sun-drying and brushing, and the exact moisture and impurity limits are stated on the proforma invoice.
Can I get a sample before ordering a container?
Yes. Samples can be arranged for serious buyers so you can check colour, length and strength before confirming a full order. Contact our export desk with your grade and destination.
Is pre-shipment inspection available?
Yes. Inspection by SGS, Intertek or a surveyor you nominate can be arranged at loading to confirm grade, weight and packing.
